A Message from the Wissahickon Democratic Committee

“This year our area (the Wissahickon Dems) decided not to endorse local candidates.”

May 10, 2017

“It takes a great deal of courage to throw your hat in the campaign ring.  Every candidate I have met has impressed me and seems really engaged.

Elections can be heated.  Primaries are especially difficult because they pit candidates against each other who would otherwise be on the same page.

This year our area (the Wissahickon Dems) decided not to endorse local candidates.  This decision has created a great deal of confusion from the county committee down to the local candidates & their voters.

Please remember that although a candidate may have the support from his or her committee person(s) no candidate has the party “endorsement” in Ambler  An individual committee person can support his or her own Democratic candidates for local elections but without a vote, there is no “endorsement” & no candidate should claim the “endorsement” of the committee as a whole.

As we race toward the Primary day finish line, please remember we are all Democrats and must come together after Tuesday.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Rick Taylor”
